This weekend has been great- it felt so good to just kick back and relax and not have anything to majorly worry about. A weekend of retail therapy, good friends and great food is exactly what I needed.
My good friend Josh and I (See the other posts about him here and here) went off on a foodventure, stopping by the Tallahassee Food Festival, Tomatoland (the open market in town) and taking an impromptu trip to Havana, Florida the place for antique shopping and lunch at a cutesy cafe. Josh and I enjoyed lunch out on the patio of Oscar’s- a pizzeria in the town’s shopping district.
So I just had to blog about this sandwich, that’s how good it was. It was a grilled pesto eggplant panini with eggplant, provolone, roasted garlic, sundried tomatoes, and spring mix. It was glorious. And served with pasta salad! It may have been a bit pricey, but it was worth the deliciousness and great conversation with Joshua
This weekend was good for me (maybe not my wallet, but that’s okay) as I’m learning to calm down and relax from my busy schedule that stresses me out. Food is definitely something that comforts me and enjoying it with friends makes everything even better!
