Saturday Mornings with Dad

I worked my last full day at Mr. Food on Friday (if you sign up for the newsletters, you will see my designs live soon!!!) and Art Ginsburg, the Mr. Food, gives everyone in the office a loaf of Challah bread. If I’m too lazy to bring lunch, I can always rely on a slice of bread and butter or something from the test kitchen; Thanks Art! Every Saturday, my dad likes to make us breakfast and this was on the table yesterday. Guess you could call me some sort of a breadwinner? Har de har har 🙂

Challah French Toast

  • 1/2 loaf fresh Challah bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 rsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk

1. Cut the loaf of bread into 3.4 inch thick slices

2. In a shallow dish, beat the eggs and combine the vanilla, cinnamon and milk

3. Dip bread slices in the egg mixture

4. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the slices to goldeny goodness!

Enjoy with butter and syrup or powdered sugar!
Thanks, Dad!
