The Oven Timer is Watching You

Remember my post about making time for old friends? (You can read it here) I have been friends with Sami since the 8th grade and we have been through girl scouts, high school drama (both kinds) and we are going to two different schools but it’s the same kind of thing where we could be away from each other for a long time but hang out together and it’s like I saw her yesterday. She’s like being friends with SNL- she’s animated and charismatic and funny and she’s got a musical guest. Not really, but I’m trying to be funny 😉

My friend Sami is coveted for these cookies that she makes- and they’re really quite simple (yet the most delicious!) We made them tonight and watched the premiere of ‘Big Brother’- a really creepy concept for a television show, actually. You can watch these people all of the time and they are playing for half a million dollars and they get insane over it. It’s a social experiment power struggle and I’m not sure how I like it quite yet. Expect the unexpected! Big Brother is watching!

We will see where this goes 🙂 Meanwhile, these cookies are in my tummy. Nothing unexpected about that!

Sami’s Reese’s Chocolate Chip Cups

  • Take a mini muffin tin and spray with non-stick cooking spray
  • Press in pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough (I made my own, but I will never give away my recipe 🙂 ) about 3/4 full
  • Bake at 350 for about ten minutes- while they are in the oven, unwrap as many mini reese’s cups as you have cookies
  • Take them out of the oven and immediately press one mini reese’s cup into each cookie/muffin
  • Place in the freezer- give it a good fifteen minutes (wait until your TV show goes to commercial) and enjoy!
  • (Caution: You will make many friends if you bring these anywhere, just warning you)
“Act like you’re pressing the Reese’s in!”“And we can take a picture of us eating!” “…or not”

LUV YEW SAMI!
